Among the many countries where Sophie Labayle works ,
she keeps a special relationship with the Czech Republic,
both because of the expertise of multiple artisans and for their long-term reliability.
So it is logical that she has developed with them this vast collection,
manufactured in different regions of the country,
from Bohemia to Moravia through Prague.
Engraved glass and iron
The adventure of the Bohemia Lanterns began in Venice.
With the mission from a client to “renew” the glass lanterns blown into the iron,
Sophie Labayle first worked 1 year with the Venetian glassmakers.
Fascinated by the incredible transparency of Bohemian glass transfiguring light,
she carried her project there.
We recognize in this collection her iconic small laser cut parts that add their modernity to her designs.
They are made both by talented metalworkers and the best quality of glass.
The outdoor lanterns are treated against corrosion at international standards.
